CAMERON WOMAN HURT MONDAY, DIES TUESDAY

A Cameron woman who was hurt when the car she was driving ran over her
just after 11:30 Monday morning, died Tuesday at Scott & White Hospital in
Temple. Josie Janek was transported to Central Texas Hospital in Cameron
by Scott & White EMS and later transported by Medivac to Scott and White.
According to reports, she had eaten lunch with her husband, an employee at
Anderle Lumber Company, when she started to leave and put her car into
reverse, then attempted to get back out of the car. It came to rest on
the curb on west 4th street. Officer Terry Drummond of the
Cameron Police Department investigated and was assisted by the Cameron
Volunteer Fire Department along with DPS Trooper Ernest Del Bosque.
Mrs. Janek was the 3rd traffic fatality of the year on
Milam County Roads.
