MILAM'S WAR DEAD HONORED

(CAMERON)  Patriotic music from Communities in Concert Band provided the backdrop for today’s Memorial Day Program Sponsored by the American Legion Edwin Hardy Post #9 of Cameron as Dwight Jekel read the names of more than 200 comrades listed on the Milam County Memorial.  Roy Martinez of the American Legion emceed the program.  Speakers included Mayor James Lafferty and VFW Commander Hollis Lewis.  Keynote speaker was 20th District Judge Ed Magre.  Around 90 people attended today’s program in front of the War-Dead Memorial on the northeast corner of the courthouse lawn.

Around 90 people attended the Memorial Day Program in downtown Cameron.
