GUERRA ARRESTED

(CAMERON)  One of Texas’ 10 most wanted fugitives is in the Milam County Jail today.  Stacy Wallace Guerra, 30 of Belton, was apprehended in Lee County early Wednesday morning by Lee County authorities after receiving a tip that Guerra and a female companion, Rachel Freeman, 19 of Davilla, were inside a residence near Somerville Lake.  A S.W.A.T. team was called in, and arrested Guerra as he attempted to flee the residence through a back door.

According to the DPS website, Guerra is wanted on parole warrants for 6 counts of Burglary of a Habitation, a warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Burglary of a Habitation.  According to the DPS, Guerra is an associate of the Mexican Mafia.

Guerra is being held in the county jail on 5 charges including a Milam County warrant for Burglary of a Habitation.  He is also named in a Bell County Warrant for Burglary of a Habitation, a Hill County warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, and an out-of-county warrant for Failure to Appear on Driving While License Suspended.  Bonds on the Burglary warrants were set at $50,000 each.  Bond on the motor vehicle charge was set at $10,000, and bond on the DWLS charge set at $3,000.  He is also being held without bail for Parole Violation.

According to the DPS, in at least six separate incidents between August 3rd and September 3rd, 1993, Guerra and associates burglarized residences in the Bell County area.  They would gain entry by either kicking in the door or breaking out a window.  Once inside, they would remove televisions, stereos, microwave ovens, guns, jewelry, and money.  Guerra has claimed that he usually took between $750 and $20,000 worth of items from residences.

The Milam County warrant stems from an incident on September 10, 2003 when Guerra entered a residence in San Gabriel without the owner’s consent, and removed 25 firearms.  At the time of the offense, he was driving a 1994 Cadillac Deville, which had been stolen out of Hill County.  The vehicle was later recovered on September 17th in eastern Bell County after having been set on fire.

Guerra is also wanted for questioning in a Bell County murder case.
