Saturday a big hit in Cameron…
Many thanks go to those who joined us for the activities in Downtown Cameron on Saturday. Vendors were busy and shoppers took to the streets as they strolled through the arts & crafts booth over the weekend. The weather was great and everyone had a great time downtown. With over 88 booths available, there was something for everyone to look at.

The 15th Annual Fun Run was a wonderful success as well. We would like to thank Melanie Shuffield for all of her hard work and dedication to the run. Thanks also goes to all those who came and participated in the Fun Run. Thanks to you, we will be able to help Crime Stoppers with their efforts. All proceeds from the Fun Run will be donated to the Milam County Crime Stoppers.

Community Calendars…
Each quarter, the Chamber place community calendars in the restraurants around town. These calendars consist of all functions going on in the community that the public is invited to. Please contact the chamber at 254-697-4979 or email your events to chamber@tlabwireless.net to have them listed on the calendar.

Haunted House coming…
Are you ready for a scare? The Milam County Crime Stoppers Annual Warehouse of Horrors is just around the corner as it comes to life on October 26th & 27th. This is the Crime Stoppers host the Warehouse of Horrors as their only Fundraiser of the year. Be sure to stop by and have your yearly scare with the Crime Stoppers.

Christmas Parade…
As I was walking through a store while out of town the other day, I noticed that the Halloween Isles were very few and along one wall they were already setting up for Christmas. It is hard to believe that in one blink Christmas will be here.

The Cameron Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 1st in downtown Cameron. We will be sending out registration forms at the end of October and everyone will receive a new route and judging format for the parade. Be sure you watch the Cameron Herald or KMIL for more information on the parade.

Toys for Kids…
Let’s not forget that the Toys for kids drive will kick off on the day of the parade. Last year we helped over 350 children as they received their toys for Christmas. For those needing to register, registration will take place December 3rd – December 14th. Donations will be accepted at the Christmas Parade, The Cameron Herald, and the Cameron Chamber of Commerce.
