As I write this one final time to KMIL it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to Cameron. My family and I are relocating due to my husband’s job. We have been separated for the better part of the past year, and the time and opportunity has approached us to be together again.

I want to sincerely thank the members of the Cameron Chamber of Commerce for their support and efforts over the years. I have seen and met so many of you over the last six and one-half years and will take away a lot of knowledge and memories from each of you.

With times changing, I hope that I can see Cameron prosper and grow to new heights. I want to share a pair of phrases from Cameron-native Drayton McLane’s book.

The first is “Dare to Dream." We have to dare to dream the impossible, and we can always go farther than expected.

The other is, “We will never be what we want to become by staying the same.” Changes take place for a reason, and although we may not like them in the beginning, it is something that may help us to become what we want to be.

Thank you again for the opportunity to spend the last six and one-half years serving you and the community. Good luck and God bless you all.
