No Mixer White Sheet
Cake
Cake: 1 c Butter 1 c Water 2 c All-Purpose Flour 2 c White Sugar 2 Eggs 1/2 c Sour Cream 1 tsp Almond Extract 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Baking Soda Frosting: 1/2 c Butter 1/4 c Milk 4-1/2 c Confectioners Sugar 1/2 tsp Almond Extract 1 c Chopped Pecans or Walnuts | |
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large saucepan, bring 1 c butter and water to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, 1 tsp almond extract, and baking soda until smooth. Pour batter into greased 10x15 baking pan. Bake in preheated oven 20-22 min or until cake is golden brown and tests done. Cool 20 min. For frosting, combine 1/2 c butter and milk in saucepan. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Mix in sugar and 1/2 tsp almond extract. Stir in pecans or walnuts. Spread over warm cake. Recipe courtesy of Milli Mendoza. |
