Grandmother's Favorite

Peach Cobbler


1 stick Butter
1-1/2 c Sugar
1 c Flour
1-1/2 tsp Baking Powder
3/4 c Milk
1 can (30 oz) Sliced Peaches in Syrup
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/3 tsp Nutmeg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 9x13 casserole dish. Separate half cup sugar, all of cinnamon, and nutmeg. Separate peaches from syrup. Mix 1 cup sugar and other dry ingredients together in a bowl. Stir in milk and syrup. Put peaches in casserole dish with melted butter. Pour batter over peaches. Mix cinnamon, nutmeg. and half cup sugar together. Sprinkle sugar mix over batter. Bake 45 min to 1 hr or until crust is golden brown.
