Biscuits and Gravy

Breakfast Casserole

32 oz (2 cans) Large Flaky Biscuits
1 lb Ground Breakfast Sausage
4 tbsp Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
3 c Milk
2 tbsp Melted Butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Open cans of biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Set aside. Prepare a 13x9 casserole dish with cooking spray. Layer half the biscuit quarters in the prepared dish and bake 10 minutes. Brown sausage over medium-high heat until cooked through. Reduce heat to medium. In small bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sprinkle cooked sausage with flour mix. Stir flour mix into sausage until completely absorbed. Add in milk and stir to combine. Stir frequently until mix comes to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and simmer and stir until gravy starts to thicken, about 5 minutes. Pour gravy over bottom layer of biscuits. Layer remaining uncooked biscuit quarters over the gravy and bake 15-20 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown. Remove from oven and brush with melted butter.
