Beans 'n' Franks

1 teaspoon butter
1 small onion, chopped
3 slices bacon
1 16 ounce can pork and beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon mustard
1 tablespoon of Louisiana hot sauce (optional)
1 16 ounce package frankfurters
Cut bacon into squares and fry in a large skillet.

Add onion and saute until translucent.

Remove from heat. Drain excess fat.

Mix beans, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and hot sauce in a 2-quart casserole dish.

Add bacon and onion and mix well.

Slice frankfurters and stir into beans.

Bake at 300 degrees for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
