(CAMERON) A Cameron man who has been the subject of a recent Milam County Crime Stoppers’ campaign, turned himself in to authorities Wednesday. Dantra Santell “Tra” Wilcox, 19, was arrested around 7:45 a.m. Thursday when he presented himself to Sheriff Charlie West. West received a call Tuesday from an interested 3rd party who stated that Wilcox wanted to turn himself in, and arrangements were made. Wilcox appeared before Judge Chip Dunsmoor for arraignment. He is being held on 2 counts of Manufacture/Deliver a Controlled Substance, and 1 count of Possession of Marijuana. Bonds on each charge were set at $25,000. Wilcox is also named in a Bell County warrant for Assault Family Member. Bond on that charge was set at $5,000. Wilcox remains in custody today in lieu of bonds totaling $80,000. Wilcox, a former Yoe High athlete that eared first team all state honors his jr. year as a defensive back, was named in warrants stemming from narcotics recovered in an investigation by Cameron Police officers. |
