(CAMERON) A potent mid-afternoon Thunderstorm brought havoc to Cameron Wednesday afternoon. High winds and dangerous lightening accompanied the storm that dumped 0.91 inches of rain in less than 45 minutes. KMIL recorded a high wind gust of 53 mph around 4:15 p.m. Damage was widespread across the community with trees toppled, power lines down, and structures damaged. Residents were out in force only minutes after the storm passed, surveying the damage, and beginning the clean-up process. City workers, the Fire Department, and Power company repair crews worked through the afternoon and into the night. |
