(CAMERON) There are multiple civic events taking place throughout the day today.
At
2PM this afternoon, the Milam County Retired Teachers will hold their
February meeting at Gause Baptist Church. The program will feature a
presentation from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability. For

Then at 4PM, the El Camino Real
Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists present a FREE presentation entitled
"Saving Water for Wildlife". The event will be held at the Patterson
Civic Center in Rockdale. Cappy Smith, Aquatic Resource Education
Specialist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will present the
program with an overview on water resources in Texas and how they`re
related to wildlife. Topics will also include environmental flows, the
Texas water allocation planning process, and the threats facing wildlife
and aquatic habitats. Participants will gain a better understanding of
the complexity of the situation and why it is important to include the
needs of wildlife when planning for future water use in Texas.
And
tonight at 6:30PM, the Cameron ISD Elementary Music Department is proud
to present their annual spring musical in the CES cafeteria. 4th grade
students will be performing "Annie" The Musical. This tells the story of
Little Orphan Annie as she tries to survive life as an orphan in New
York City and find a loving home with caring parents. Admission is free.
