(ROGERS) A Rogers man who fled police in January has now been indicted.
A Bell County Grand Jury this week handed down an indictment for Evading Arrest in a Vehicle against 24-year-old Antony Dunlap. The indictment stems from an incident January 27th in which Dunlap fled police. Rogers Police Chief Lou Lourcey said he observed a motorcycle that day matching the description of an erratic driver residents had complained about earlier in the day. Lourcey began to follow the bike, which had no license plate and failed to use turn signals when turning, leading to a traffic stop attempt. However, Dunlap continued on at speeds up to 120MPH and blowing through a stop sign before finally coming to a stop a couple miles from where the stop was initiated. The driver was identified as Dunlap, who had no driver license. He was arrested and booked into jail before being released on bond.
