CITY TO REPAIR CEMETERY ROAD2009-11-03

(CAMERON) A caved in road in the cemetery will be repaired after approval by the Cameron City Council during Monday`s regular meeting.

The council had put off a decision on repairing the road during the previous meeting.

The collapsed bridge is near the back of the Oak Hill Cemetery, and has been closed to the public. Over time, the bridge railings had fallen off, and the bridge and culvert had collapsed. From the previous meeting, it was learned estimated repairs will run $30,000.

In other business, the city passed the Tax Roll Resolution by a 4-1 vote. The only dissenting was Joe White.

And the first reading of an ordinance approving the formation of Little River Basin Sub-Regional Planning Commission was approved.
