Prices at the gas pump have been stable so far in the new year.
Triple-A Texas spokesman Doug Shupe says the statewide average dropped
just one cent this week to three-16 a gallon. The national average is
at three-32 a gallon this week, up three-cents. Dallas and Fort Worth
are paying the highest average in Texas at three-20 a gallon, which is
the same in Dallas and up a penny in Fort Worth. El Paso drivers are
paying the lowest average at two-95, down a penny. Austin`s average is
also down a penny this week to three-16 a gallon. San Antonio`s average
is down a penny to three-13, while Houston drivers are paying two-cents
less at three-17 a gallon.
