(CAMERON) The COVID-19 pandemic continues to see minimal cases locally.
Milam County Judge Steve Young said there are 6 active cases of the virus here. There have been 102 deaths since the pandemic began, including 10 this year. No one is currently hospitalized.
Milam County nurses administered 10 shots yesterday. Vaccination clinics will be held today from Noon-4PM at Buckholts Community Center. Next week, clinics will be held Wednesday and Thursday from 9AM-Noon and 1-3PM at the Rockdale One Stop and Friday from Noon-4PM at Milano Fire Station. All clinics are open to residents at least 5 years of age and shots are free. Walk-ins are welcome. To schedule an appointment, please call 254-697-7000. Free virus testing for Milam County residents will be Mondays from 9AM-2PM at the former Rockdale hospital and Thursdays from 9AM-2PM at the Cameron fire station. One person was tested yesterday and came back negative.
