Temple Board of Trustees decided Tuesday to put off a discussion
regarding a policy to allow teachers to carry firearms in class.
The
School Board decided to put off the discussion pending action taken by
the Texas Legislature on the issue. School officials said they will wait
to see what the current legislative session does before they make a
decision. School resource officers on Temple ISD campuses already carry
guns.
