(CAMERON)  On Golden Pond produced by Milam Community Theater will open this Saturday, Nov. 7 with an 8 p.m. Performance at the Williams Civic Center in Cameron.

Buzz Rahm, from Morgan’s Point, and Mona Batula, from Rockdale, play Norman and Ethel Thayer, an older couple who re-discover the meaning of life and family while spending their summers in a lake cottage in Maine in the acclaimed play, “On Golden Pond.”

A membership reception will be held prior to the curtain, beginning at 7 p.m. this Saturday.  Additional performances are Sunday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m., Saturday Nov. 14 at 8 p.m. and the show closes Sunday Nov. 15 with a 2 p.m. matinee.

The supporting cast for the show are Melanie Reed as Chelsea, Dustan Owen as Bill, Hayden Wilson as Billy, Buddy Shuffield as Charlie and Carter Whitmire as the Operator. The theater’s Web site, www.MilamCommunityTheater.com, has more information about the show and directions to the civic center.
