(CAMERON) The Cameron Thrift Store will have its annual Christmas food distribution day on December 17 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at the thrift store.
You may sign up for this event from December 1 – Friday December 13 at the Cameron Thrift Store at 300 South Houston in Cameron.
The store is also in need of donations of the following food items: cornbread mix, cake mix, broth, canned pumpkin, canned yams, green beans, corn, cranberry sauce, canned milk, and cake icing.

(MILAM) Milam County Sheriffs Office has Applications for Brown Santa for Christmas. They be picked up in Cameron at the Sheriffs Office and in Rockdale at the Police Department.

(TEMPLE) City of Temple 3rd Annual Merry & Bright Holiday Lights Tour & Contest
Temple residents, are you ready for the holiday season?
Decorate the exterior of your home and submit a photo to templetx.gov/holidaylights for the opportunity to win a grand prize! Contest submissions will be accepted until Friday, December 6.
After the submission deadline, community members may tour the homes using an interactive digital map provided by the City of Temple and vote for their favorite online. Voting will open on Saturday, December 7, until Monday, December 16.
The winner will be presented with an award by Mayor Tim Davis at the City Council Meeting on Thursday, December 19.

(ROCKDALE) The next meeting of the Rockdale ALCOA Retirees will be: Thursday, December 12th. The meeting will be held at the Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall ( formally known as the VFW Hall ). Doors open at 5 P.M. A business meeting will begin at 5:45.
