At 1106 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Rosebud, or 12 miles north of Cameron, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Tornado. SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near… Rosebud around 1110 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Wilderville, Barclay, Highbank, Terrys Chapel, Pleasant Grove, Travis, Baileyville, Burlington, Wilson, and Cedar Springs.

miles southeast of Belton, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.  SOURCE…Radar indicated.
IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to  roofs, siding, and trees.

Severe thunderstorms are possible Tuesday potentially containing all severe weather hazards. Most of the area is under a slight severe weather threat, but a increased severe weather risk is in place east of I-35 primarily driven by an increase in the tornado potential.

Tornado risk is also being confined in Bell, Falls, Limestone, Freestone, Milam, Robertson, and Leon County.

(BUCKHOLTS)   Buckholts City Counsel has called a Special meeting for Thursday May 8, beginning  at 5:30pm at the Buckholts Town Hall 113 W Main street, Buckholts.

A Regular meeting of the Buckholts City Counsel will start at 5:45pm.

There will be a Budget workshop will begin immediately following the City Counsel meeting at  the Community Center 110 W. Main Street.

Some election results for the May 3, 2025 election in Central Texas. This year voters in our area’s communities are being asked to choose both city and school district leaders. School districts,  Rogers, have multi-million dollar propositions on the ballot that could determine the future for those districts. Other communities, like Salado, have propositions that will affect tax rates and local ordinances.

The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a vet clinic at the Westphalia Hall Pavilion, State Highway 320,  Westphalia on Monday, May 12th .  The clinic will be from 3pm to 7pm.
