Death Toll rises to 105 across 6 counties from the flooding.   10 children and one counselor still missing from camp mystic. In Kerr County 84 deaths, including  56 adults and  27 children, 23 people still missing – Over 850 rescued.

 

Flood relief/donation site being set up through Church’s/Local Businesses/ non- profit organization.

As Central Texas and the Hill Country continue to recover and deal with the devastating floods from over the weekend, the state is working to come together to heal. The Houston Texans, the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL are committing to assist in helping rescue, relief and recovery efforts a donation of $500,000 each make the total $1.5 million to those impacted by the flooding.

NBAMavericks, the Rockets, the Spurs, the NBPA announced that more than $2M “will be donated to flooding victims.

Rangers and Astros are also joining the “list of several in-state professional sports teams that have announced donations” . Both teams will donate $1M.

Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris and  Robert Earl Keen are donating to help Hill Country flood victims. Several celebrities with roots in Texas, and beyond, are making direct donations. Robert Earl Keen has announced plans for a benefit show to raise funds for relief.

USAA, has committed $500,000.

 

(CAMERON)     The Cameron Chamber of Commerce will be open all week to collect donations for those affected by flooding. Please consider donating the following items:

With a large number of first responders already in the area, all available resources—including volunteers—must be properly coordinated. Unannounced volunteers can unintentionally add strain to already limited resources.

The need for clothing, blankets/ bedding, and non-perishable food items has temporarily been met, so we would like to shift our focus on other items that are still needed. We are working with Bold Republic Brewing Company & Morgan’s Point Resort Fire-Rescue

 

(MILAM)  MILAM COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MONTHLY CALL REPORT

(CAMERON) In June 2025, the Milam County Sheriff’s Office answered 1,657 total calls. Among them:
  For questions, call M.C.S.O.   254-697-7033.
(ROCKDALE) Rockdale Police Department weekly report Officers responded to 132 calls for service 81 were 911 calls.

(MILAM) Milam County Sheriff’s Office  jail count 144.

(BUCKHOLTS)    A regular meeting of the Town of Buckholts City Council will be held THURSDAY,  July 10, at 6:00 pm at Buckholts Town Hall located at 113 W. Main Street, Buckholts.

 

(CAMERON)    The El Camino Real Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists will hold its monthly meeting on  Thursday, July 10, 2025. Our program will begin at 6 PM at the All Saints’ Episcopal Church Meeting Room, 200 N. Travis, in Cameron.
