(MILAM) A BURN BAN for Milam County will go into effect this evening, September 28, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

After discussions with the Milam County Fire Chiefs, the Fire Marshal, and our Milam County Emergency Managements Coordinator, A burn ban will go into effect this evening at 6:00 pm.

Due to extremely dry conditions especially on the south side of the county, it was deemed appropriate to put a burn ban into effect at this time.
