Milano ISD Superintendent Hospitalized Following Accident
Milano, Texas — The Milano Independent School District announced today that Superintendent
Dr. Elisabeth Luevanos has been hospitalized following an accident. She is currently receiving
medical care, and the district’s Board of Trustees and leadership team are focused on supporting
her and her family during this time.
Board President Levi Keen expressed the district’s collective concern and commitment to
maintaining continuity:
“Superintendent Luevanos is an exceptional leader whose vision and dedication have strengthened
our schools and our community. As she focuses on her recovery, the Board and administrative team
remain steadfast in continuing her mission of educational excellence and student success.”
The Board of Trustees will soon appoint an Acting Superintendent, and the district leadership team
is taking steps to ensure that all educational programs, operations, and initiatives continue without
interruption. Parents, staff, and community members can expect continued communication from
district leadership as needed.
Out of respect for Superintendent Dr. Luevanos and her family, no additional details regarding her
condition will be released at this time. The district asks for the community’s continued thoughts,
prayers, and support during her recovery.
