Voters in Texas are poised on Last night to approve a series of tax exemptions and bans as well as new investments in state infrastructure and research.
All 17 constitutional amendments on the ballot held majority support , most of which restrict the creation of certain taxes or allow for new tax exemptions. Other amendments would create state investments in water infrastructure, dementia research and technical college funds.

Voter Turnout
Milam County has 17, 264 registered voters. The unofficial early voter turnout was 1260 in-person voters and 1288 mail-in ballots for a total of 2,548 voters, which is 14.76 percent of those registered in the county.
The unofficial election day turnout was 1,548 voters, which is 8.97 percent of those registered. This makes the total voter turnout for this election 4,093 voters, which is about 23.71 percent of the total registered voters in the county.
