COUNTDOWN TO THE NEW YEAR   🌟

 

Fireworks in Most Texas Cities are Illegal. A Reminder Pets and Animals are sensitive to fireworks and Loud noises.

Officials said fireworks impact more than just emergency responders. Loud noises can frighten pets, leading to an increase in stray animals and placing additional demands on Animal Services, police and fire crews. Fireworks-related injuries and noise complaints also draw resources away from other calls for service.

 

(MILAM)   All persons summoned for Jury Jury in Judge Youngblood’s 20th District court for  Monday January 5 at 10:00 am, DO NOT NEED TO REPORT. The case has been resolved .  The Trial for Monday January 5 at 10:00 is cancelled.

(ROCKDALE)  Rockdale Police Department weekly police report, Officers responded to 431 calls for service  87 were 911 calls.  11 calls for the fire department with 4 accidents being reported
(ROCKDALE)  The Milam County Tax Office is now open in Rockdale One-Stop Center for Property Tax payments. We are still waiting for the DPS to install their equipment so we can do vehicle registrations as well. We hope they’ll have that installed by January.

Rockdale Tax Office:  Starting in January 2026, the Rockdale tax office will be open weekly on Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 4:00.
Currently, they are handling only the Property Taxes until the DMV gets them set up to handle Vehicle Taxes as well in the next few weeks.

 

(MILAM) Milam County Sheriffs office 132 inmates booked into the jail.

 

 

(MILANO)    Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District Office will be Closed for the New Year  January 1st and reopen January 2nd· 310 E Avenue C · Milano.

(CAMERON) Milam County WIC Office reopen  Today and  8am-2pm.  Closed New Years Day and Friday January 2nd.
(CAMERON)  The Milam Appraisal District will be closed Thursday, January 1st in observance of New Year’s Day
