(CAMERON) A 43-year-old Cameron man was killed in a head-on crash on FM 485 after another driver attempted to pass in a marked no-passing zone, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.Texas.
Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a report of a major head-on crash on FM 485. A 2018 Ford F-250 pickup truck, operated by a 20-year-old male from Conroe, Texas, was traveling eastbound on FM 485. A 2022 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, operated by 43-year-old Cody Blaine Wall of Cameron, Texas, was traveling westbound on FM 485 approaching the Ford. The driver of the Ford disregarded a marked no-passing zone and attempted to pass other eastbound vehicles. During the passing maneuver, the Ford collided head-on with the westbound Toyota Tacoma. Wall was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Greg Hoelscher. Next-of-kin notifications have been made. The driver of the Ford F-250 was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with incapacitating injuries. The crash investigation remains active and ongoing. (ROCKDALE) The Milam County Tax Office is now open in Rockdale One-Stop Center for Property Tax payments. We are still waiting for the DPS to install their equipment so we can do vehicle registrations as well. We hope they’ll have that installed by January.
