(MILAM)  BURN BAN BURN BAND RESCIDED 11 March, 2026 10:00am

(BURLESON) As of 11:50 a.m. on March 11th, 2026, the burn ban order for Burleson County has been lifted.

Please use caution when burning, and notify authorities prior to beginning larger controlled burns for awareness. Be mindful that we will have increasing winds approaching this evening, so stay aware of conditions and do not leave fires unattended

(ROCKDALE)  3/9  Rockdale Police Department  weekly report officer responded to  369  total calls with 51 911 calls  2 fire calls for the Rockdale VFD, no arrests or accidents reported.

Fort Hood, Tx (FOX 44) – The sounds of large aircraft and 500 pound bombs will once again be heard in Central Texas Ending on THURSDAY March -12,   as B-52 crews practice bombing runs at Ft. Hood.

B-52 Stratafortress aircraft from Barksdale AFB, Louisiana will conduct training operations involving the release of 500-pound munitions in the Fort Hood impact area from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.   as part of routine training within designated training areas on the installation.

(ROCKDALE)  Rockdale MDD won an award from the Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC)
announced the recipients of its annual Economic Excellence Recognition program for 2025.

The awards were presented on Friday, February 27th, during the TEDC’s 2026 Winter Conference in
El Paso, Texas. The Rockdale Municipal Development District (RMDD) was one of 85 economic development organizations receiving the TEDC’s Economic Excellence Award, making this the third year in a row that the Rockdale MDD has won this award.
