The 27th Annual Milam County holds an annual “Tree of Angels” ceremony to honor victims of violent crime, where loved ones place angel ornaments on a Christmas tree. Monday ,December 8th at 6:30pm organized and hosted by the Milam County District Attorney’s Office, this event is part of a statewide tradition that originated in Austin in 1991 to provide support and comfort to those affected by violence.
- The ceremony remembers individuals who have been victims of violent crime.
