VRAZEL POLKA SHOW,   70 year show comes to an end,  Alfred Vrazel has announced Sunday the he is retiring. His last show will be  This Sunday the show starting at Noon Sunday and extended until 3pm. Alfred will have the whole family on the show, lots of emails and comments for his retirement.

 

(CAMERON) Milam County WIC Office will be closed today and Tomorrow- they will  reopen  Monday and Tuesday 8-5pm, Wednesday 8am-2pm, closed New Years Day and Friday January 2nd.

(MILANO)    The Milano Independent School District Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the selection of Kevin Terry as the Lone Finalist for the position of Superintendent of Schools. This decision comes as we move forward following the unexpected passing of our former Superintendent, Dr. Elisabeth Luevanos, due to a tragic accident. Her dedication to our students and community has left a lasting impact, and we honor her memory as we embark on this new chapter. Mr. Terry, who has worked for the district for 26 years, has served as Acting Superintendent since Dr. Luevanos’s accident while continuing to perform the functions of his previous position as Director of Operations. Milano ISD Board of Trustees anticipate  holding a board meeting on January 8, 2026.  In accordance with state law, there had to be a 21-day waiting period before the school board can officially hire Mr. Terry.  For further information, please contact Chelsey Jentsch at  or 512-455-2533.

The 45th Annual Central Texas Cow Calf Clinic will be held on Thursday January 8thWe will have some great food and some great educational presentations. 3 hours of CEUs will be provided for pesticide applicators.   The which is being held in cooperation with AgriLife Extension offices in Bell, Burleson, Falls, Robertson and Williamson counties, will take place at the Milam County Youth Expo Building, 301 S. Houston St., Cameron.   Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the program starting at 8 a.m. The cost is $20, which can be paid at the door. Registration is available by calling 254-697-7045.
