BURN BAN- Burn Ban for Milam, Robertson and Limestone Counties.

Today’s cold front through the morning Sunshine,  South winds overnight with gusts between 15 and 20 MPH,  low 33 tonight with North winds 15-25 gusts to 35 mph wind chills into the teens

 Saturday with near freezing temperatures,  high near 50 N winds 10-20mph with a Low 24 wind chills into the single digits.  High Sunday  61.   People, Pets (animals), pipes, Plants

 

(BARTLETT) (Closed thru Tuesday) Bartlett ISD will be closed  Friday Jan. 16 due to increased flu and illness across the district.   Officials within the district said the closure allows time for deep cleaning and recovery for students and staff.

Students will return Tuesday as Monday is a scheduled student and staff holiday.

The district said the decision was made out of an abundance of caution, especially for young children and those with pre-existing conditions.

Athletic schedule updates will be released when they are available.

(MILAM)  About 4pm yesterday  DPS is closed  US190/TX36 in the area of CR215A as part of a follow up investigation into a recent fatality crash. This closure lasted about 45 minutes

(CAMERON)  Cameron Volunteer Fire Department responded to Hwy 77 North of Burlington yesterday for an accident, traffic was down to one lane. Roadway was reopened about 4pm

 

(ROCKDALE)  Rockdale Police Department weekly report Officers responded to 317 calls for service, 73  were 911 calls and  7 calls for the Rockdale Fire Department, one for Bartlett Fire department. 2 Accidents, and 4 felony arrests.

(ROCKDALE)  City of Rockdale will hold a General Election to elect a member from the East and West Ward at the May 2, 2026 election. Applications for a place on the ballot will be accepted from January 14th through February 13th by 5PM.
