(CAMERON) Jerry H. Bethell, 81, of Cameron, died Friday, January 16, 2026 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the First Methodist Church in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Visitation will be 1:00 pm until service time in the First Methodist Church Sanctuary.
Coach Bethell, a retired educator and coach, was born October 8, 1944 in San Jose, CA to William Harold and Euna Lee (Long) Bethell. He married Peggy Speir on June 5, 1965. Jerry began is career in education in Stanton, TX. He continued to San Saba, TX, Llano, TX and retired in Cameron, TX as a dedicated Cameron Yoeman. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Cameron.
