Ben Rodriguez, 43, of Rockdale was sentenced to seventeen (17) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Sexual Assault of a Child in the 20th Judicial District Court of Milam County on January 29, 2026. Rodriguez must serve one-half of his sentence before even becoming eligible for parole. He will have to register as a sex offender for life, and the Court granted a lifetime protective order for the victim.
The maximum punishment for a 2nd Degree Felony is twenty (20) years incarceration. This plea allows the victim to continue healing from this 2022 crime without the necessity of a jury trial
