(COPPERAS COVE) WACO, Texas (FOX 44) – If you’re a commuter in Central Texas, hopefully you have a lot of patience because we have more road construction starting tomorrow (March 24, 2026).
TxDOT will begin conducting intermittent closures on I-14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., both westbound and eastbound, starting Tuesday. There will be a single eastbound outside lane closure from Clear Creek Road to Willow Springs Road in Killeen.
Additionally, a closure of the eastbound ramp to SH 195. Between the closure times, there will be a 15-minute full freeway closure to allow setting of high mast poles in the area in both directions. These closures will be performed at non-peak hours.
Closures will allow TxDOT’s contractor to safely set high mast poles in the area.
