Under the direction of Brian Price, the Milam County District Attorney, the following felony cases were recently resolved in Judge John W. Youngblood’s 20th Judicial District Court:
TRAVIS JOSEPH SLUSHER, 34, of Cameron, was sentenced to ten (10) years confinement in TDCJ after a contesting hearing a Motion to Revoke Probation for an original 3rd Degree Felony, Attempted Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon
MELISSA AMY LLANAS, 32, of Rockdale, was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Assault on a Peace Officer, and was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ for a 3rd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest Detention with Vehicle in addition to being sentenced to one hundred eighty (180) days confinement in the Milam County Jail for a Class A misdemeanor, Attempted Endangering a Child
JOHN EDWARD PRATT, 40, of Rockdale, was sentenced to two (2) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for four (4) years with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Theft < $2,500 with Previous Convictions
LORETTA HARVEY, 42, of Austin, was sentenced to five (5) years confinement in TDCJ, probated for three (3) years with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $500 fine after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Assault on a Peace Officer
STEVEN RAMIREZ, 60, of Cameron, was placed on four (4) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $180 restitution to the DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram
NICOLAS NAYTE BARRERA, 20, of Rockdale, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and $180 restitution to DPS after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram
JOSE EDUARDO SALDANA, 22, of Rockdale, was placed on six (6) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including the successful completion of
intensive outpatient substance abuse program and compliance with drug patch requirement for the first six (6) months of probation after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with Vehicle
LEO ERIC DEKLE, 19, of Taylor, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation including 180 days confinement in the Milam County Jail after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Degree Felony, Assault Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction
KENNETH EVERETT SHUFFIELD, 59, of Cameron, was sentenced to two (2) years confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ, probated for three (3) years with standard conditions of probation including $1,500 fine and $180 restitution to DPS lab after pleading guilty to a State Jail Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance Less than One Gram
BRIAN ALEXANDER DENMON, 43, of Rockdale, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Fail to Comply Sex Offender Duty to Register
STEVE FORD, 60, of Overton, was placed on five (5) years Deferred Adjudication with standard drug offender conditions including compliance with drug patch program for the first three (3) months and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $180 restitution to DPS after pleading guilty to a 2nd Degree Felony, Possession of Controlled Substance 4-200 Grams
JAKE THOMAS LANCASTER, 22, of Spring, was placed on three (3) years Deferred Adjudication with standard conditions of probation and was ordered to pay a $2,000 fine after pleading guilty to a 3rd Degree Felony, Evading Arrest with Vehicle
LONNIE EARL HEMPHILL, 39, of Cameron, was sentenced to twelve (12) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleading “True” to a Motion to Revoke Probation for an original State Jail Felony, Unauthorized Absence from Correctional Facility
HANNAH BETH TURPIN, 29, of Rosebud, was sentenced to twelve (12) months confinement in the State Jail Division of TDCJ after pleasing guilty to a State Jail Felony Burglary of Building
