(CAMERON)  Thursday 14 Yoe Day  Cameron ISD NO school and  No School Friday May 15 .
The Yoe Day tradition THURSDAY MAY 14  with a ceremony honoring Caroline and Charles H. Yoe. This particular day has a long and rich history.

Charles had a great love for the city of Cameron and its people. It was the desire of Charles and his wife Caroline to give to the city a fitting and worthy tribute of their love for Cameron.

This expression of love took the form of a new high school building in Cameron, which later became known as C.H. Yoe High School.

Every year on the second Thursday in the month of May, studies are suspended at C.H. Yoe High School, and the students and faculty celebrate with a ceremony held for the Yoe family at their grave site. This day is known as “Yoe Day”. Also in observance of Yoe Day Thursday may 14th and  there was no school on Friday May 15th.
