Work Begins on New Cameron City Hall

(CAMERON)  EBCO of Cameron began dismantling the Green Building this week.  Stan Bone (pictured below left) is photographing pieces of the circa-1891 structure before crews dismantle the building.  (Below right) The crown displaying the birth year of the building, was removed today.  The front of the building will be dismantled and catalogued piece by piece, restored, and then reinstalled in their proper place once the structure has been completed.

Cameron native and owner of the Houston Astros, Drayton McLane Jr., and his family, are paying to have the building restored to become the new Cameron City Hall.

McLane announced his gift to Cameron during a press conference Monday April 16th.  For more on the press conference and the project, click on the link below.
