MVP Awards Highlight Spring Banquet

(CAMERON) Yoe High athletes competing in spring sports were honored Monday during the annual Spring Sports Banquet at the Cameron VFW. Most Valuable Player awards in each sport highlighted the affair. Around 350 attended the banquet, and enjoyed a barbecue meal catered by Circle S Barbecue of Cameron.


MVP's for the Lady Yoe Track Team were (L-R) Tiffany Fields, (coach Linda Richter) Cresha Whitfield, and Melissa Marek.	Seniors were named MVP's of the Boys Tennis Team. They are (L-R) Nathan Dohnalik, Brian Bailey, Thomas Webber, Heath Harris, and Matt Basonic.


Lady Yoe Basketball MVP honors went to the Seniors. Pictured are (L-R) Cresha Whitfield, Kiesha Tobert, Amy Hornung and Tasha Hemphill. Not pictured is Taryn Baggs.	Named Boys Golf MVP was Freshman golfer Michael Mullins. The award was presented by Athletic Director Randy Sapp.


Baseball MVP was Tanner Light. The award was presented by baseball coach Danny Walling.	Junior Candace Culpepper received the softball MVP, presented by coach Diane Luckemeyer.


Jenni Harwell was named Lady Golf MVP	Tiffanie Kubacak is the Girls Tennis MVP. Award presented by coach Paul Harris.


Boys Basketball MVP, Thomas Webber. Award presented by coach Robert Brashear.	Boys Powerlifting MVP was awarded to Tyler Tumlinson by coach Larry McNabb.


Girls Powerlifting MVP is Charyl Wood. Award presented by Coach Larry McNabb.	Robert Smith was named Boys Track MVP. Award presented by coach Brent Finney.

The Banquet Concluded with the Yoe High Cheerleaders, and Senior athletes leading "On Yoe High", and a prayer by Thomas Webber.

Booster Club President Mike Zajicek was awarded the Booster of the Year Award during Monday's banquet. Zajicek has served as Booster Club President the past 3 years.
