Reception Held for New Economic Development/Chamber Director

(CAMERON)  The Cameron Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors held a "Get Acquainted Reception" Thursday for Earline Cloudt, new Economic Development/Chamber Director.

Cloudt will be responsible for the general management and coordination of all activities and projects and carrying out the objectives and policies related to these two organizations. She will also be working in conjunction with the Cameron Tourism Advisory Board to help promote interest and tourism in Cameron.

Cloudt said she appreciated the confidence these two boards have placed in her, and looks forward to working with them. She said her goal will be to do all that she can to assist them in developing new jobs for Cameron residents by attracting new industry to our community and aiding in the growth of existing businesses and industry.

Ms. Cloudt, her husband Ray, and son Darrell, moved to Cameron in 1981. She is a Bell County native and her professional career experiences include 25 years as a nursing home administrator and management consultant. Before accepting this new position, Ms. Cloudt was an independent sales representative to schools and public libraries for World Book, Inc.

Ms. Cloudt has been active in community affairs since coming to Cameron. She has been a member of Arts and Service League and has served as president of Cameron United Way and Fleur-de-Lis Garden Club. She will serve as president of Garden Club again this coming year. She and her husband are members of the Cameron Church of Christ.
