Cameron Business Closed Temporarily After Fire

(Cameron)  Cameron Businessman Jesse Holloway said he plans to re-open his Laundry as soon as possible. A fire that started in a trash can near the front of the building, smoldered into the night and erupted in flames early Tuesday causing extensive damage to the interior of the building at 1807 North Fannin in Cameron.  Cameron Fire Marshall Tommy Chamberlain summoned the State Fire Marshall's assistance in the investigation.  Janine Mather conducted the on-site investigation Wednesday.  Meanwhile, Holloway said he will re open the business as soon as repairs are complete.  The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department answered the call around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday.
