MVP Awards Highlight Fall Sports Banquet (Cameron) Yoe High athletes in Football, Volleyball, and Cross Country, and Yoe High Cheerleaders were honored Saturday during the annual Fall sports Banquet at the Cameron VFW. MVP awards in each sport highlighted the Banquet. In football, the 25 seniors who led the team to a 11-3 quarterfinalist season, were voted MVP's by team members. In Volleyball, Cresha Whitfield was named MVP, and Crystal Mikulec was named MVP in girls cross country, and Robert Smith in the boys cross country. Some 450 athletes, boosters and fans attended Saturday's banquet. The Yoe Booster Club catered the barbecue meal. |

Special awards were presented to KMIL, The Cameron Herald, and Tranum Country in Cameron. KMIL and The Herald were recognized for coverage of Yoe High Sports. Accepting the award for KMIL was Rob Reed, while Mike Peck accepted The Herald's award. Tranum Country was recognized for their "Win-a-truck" campaign during football season. Chuck Beach accepted the award on behalf of the dealership. |
