Awards Highlight Annual Chamber Banquet (Cameron) Awards
recognizing Outstanding Chamber Member, Citizen of the Year, and
Organizations of the Year highlighted the 67th Annual Chamber
of Commerce Banquet held last night at the Cameron VFW. Past President
Janet Sheguit announced the award winners. John Egger was named
Citizen of the Year (pictured left). Glenn Laurence was named
Outstanding Chamber Member. And Organizations of the year were
Crimestoppers and Milam Community Theater.
2001 Chamber Directors include: Jeannine Dohnalik,
President; Janet Sheguit, Past President; Glenn Laurence; Margia
Barkemeyer; Jason Barton; Franci Denio; Al Dobos; John Egger; Ken Harriss;
Bobbie Miller; Jeanie Orsag; Mike Shelton; and Melanie Shuffield Retiring chamber directors include: Larry Hauk;
Teri Keratsopoulos; and Ed Magre. Mike Caps, voice of the Round Rock Express, provided the

Greg Kouba and Roy Mayfield accept award on behalf of The Milam County Crime Stoppers Organization. Bobby Schiller accepted the award for Milam Community Theater. The two organizations were named Organizations of the Year during last night's banquet. |
