(ROCKDALE) 8:53am4/26/2024  BOIL WATER NOTICE:  The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality requires the City of Rockdale (PWS1660002) public water system to issue a Boil Water Notice. 
All customers residing in the eastern half of the city must boil their water. NOTE: This does not include Hunter’s Chase apartments. 

When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner like this notice.

(MILAM) POLICE REPORT:   
 Milam County Sheriff`s office had 2 new bookings:
--Martin Scott Wayne Williams, 31, for House for ISF
-- Antonio Pope Jr., 20, for assault causing bodily injury of a family member                                              

There are 119  in the jail.

No accidents reported.

(MILAM) Milam County Aggie Moms Scholarship Golf Tournament Fundraiser is Saturday April 27th at the Rockdale Country Club.  Its a 4 Person Scramble shotgun start 10am, Open to All Golfers, singles are welcome, Lunch and Carts provided Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams , closest to the pin and longest drive. (CAMERON) The Cameron Economic Development Corporation will hold a meeting of the Board of Directors Wednesday May 1st at 3:30pm at the Cameron City Hall. A copy of the agenda was posted on the bulletin board outside City Hall, 100 South Houston Avenue.

AREA EVENTS:


(TEMPLE) Texas Barbque Association the Salvation Army and the American Legion post 133 The Texas Barbecue Foundation is hosting a food drive to restock the Salvation Army pantry.  

On Saturday, April 27th from 11 - 2 pm, the Texas Barbecue Foundation will be giving away BBQ Sandwiches, chips and a drink if you will donate 10 non perishable food items.  
You can eat it there or pick it up in the drive thru.  The location of the drive will be 1300 S. 25th St.in TEMPLE  the American Legion Post #133 parking lot.


(ROGERS) City of Rogers having a City Wide Garage Sale & Bake Sale 8am-2pm Saturday  April 27th
Event Central is Rogers Civic Center at 4W Mesquite.  Bake sale and garage sale participant maps available inside.



(CAMERON) New Vision Ministry Church will be having a Churches United Service Saturday  April 27th beginning at 2pm. Come for a spirit filled service and a meal will be provided after service. 
Location: 411 W Main St. in  Cameron.


(BARCLAY) Barclay Community Center Fundraiser will be held Sunday April 28th from 11am-TBD.  There will be bar-b-que with trimmings available for dine in or take out. There will also be a silent auction.


(CAMERON) Bake sale at the VFW Post 2010 in Cameron on May 4, 2024 from 9am-sold out. The money will benefit the VFW building remodeling, and adding a dance floor.
