(MILAM) 4/28/2026 Raymond James McBride had actually been arrested twice in connection with the shooting is back in custody after his bond was revoked by Milam County District Attorney. Under a new amendment under the Texas Constitution he was a violent offender and revoked all bonds, he remains in the Milam County Jail.
Last week, our office filed a motion to revoke the bail of Raymond McBride, Jr., who has been arrested in connection with the shooting that took place at Boogie’s Bar and Grill. That motion was based on the new constitutional sections that were passed by the voters in 2025. Those sections, particularly Article I, section 11d, allow the State to file to revoke a person’s bail in certain violent offense if the State can demonstrate that the granting of bail is insufficient to reasonably ensure the safety of the community and law enforcement.
That motion was heard yesterday in District Judge John Youngblood’s courtroom. District Attorney Brian Price argued the State’s motion. After hearing the evidence presented, the State’s motion was granted. Mr. McBride Jr.’s bail was revoked, and he is currently being held in the Milam County jail without bond
