ISD RELEASES RESIGNATION AGREEMENT TO THE PUBLIC
(CAMERON) The Cameron School Board has released its resignation
agreement with former superintendent Doug Koebernick. The agreement
calls for the payment of $71,000 to Koebernick, to be paid in two
installments. Board President Gene Vaculin said the amount
represents the remaining 10 1/2 months of salary that remained on his
contract. During a meeting Monday, the board appointed Business Manager Maxie
Morgan as interim Superintendent. (see story) The board hashed out the resignation agreement during a 6-hour closed
session earlier last week. (see story) Vaculin said the board felt the agreement was in the best interest of
the Board, Koebernick, the district, and the staff and students of Cameron
ISD. Koebernick was hired 2 years ago to replace Ronnie Kincaid who resigned
to accept the Lampasas ISD superintendent position. Koebernicks 3 year
contract would have expired at the end of the 2001-2002 school year. |
