Cameron's New City Hall Nearing Completion

(CAMERON)  City Hall was closed Monday and Tuesday as offices were moved to their glamorous new home at the corner of First and Houston in downtown Cameron.  The new City Hall is now open for business!

Texas Governor Rick Perry will be in Cameron on April 1st when the city dedicates the new City Hall.  Perry will stand with Drayton McLane and his family for the ribbon cutting of the new building.  The McLane family has generously funded the total reconstruction of the old Green Building at First and Houston, to become the new Cameron City Hall.  The downtown landmark was targeted for demolition because of safety concerns, when McLane stepped in and announced he would fund the reconstruction project.

Dedication and ribbon cutting ceremonies will be held April 1st at 5 p.m.

48 hour deadline for action, given by the City Council after roof collapses on the Green Building.
