First Baptist Church Cameron is looking for a very dependable and loving person to keep children from birth to 5th grade. The work week will be about 5 hours a week including mostly Sunday mornings, evenings, and Wed. nights. Please apply at FBC M-F 9:00am-4:00pm. The salary will be $8.00 an hour.

Rockdale Aglow Community Lighthouse presents the Vice President Ministry Development and Resources for the Heart of Texas Area Board. Vivian will be speaking at 7PM March 11th at the Rockdale General Store.

The Kingsmen will be performing at 7:30 pm on March 12th at the Milano Civic Center. Tickets are on sale through 455-3420. Proceeds benefit the Milano Volunteer Fire Department and EMS and the Milano Civic Center. Family tickets are $18, adults in advance are $10 and kids under 12 are $5. The event is sponsored by the Milano Senior Citizens.

Salem Lutheran Church at Terry's Chapel and the Brazos River Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will host a BBQ fundraiser, Silent Auction and Quilt Raffle with proceeds to benefit the American Relay for Life, Sunday March 21st at Seaton Star Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Meal includes QQB beef, sausage, bens, potato salad, coleslaw and dessert.

Springfest will be March 28 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cyclone from 11AM-2PM. Plates are $8 and include: Home Fried Chicken, Sausage, Dressing, Cole Slaw, Noodles, and Dessert. There will also be homemade breads, pastries and canned goods available. As well as a silent auction and a raffle for a queen size quilt.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month Sept. - May at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale at 9:30am. MOPS is open to any mother with children aged birth - kindergarten. Meetings include breakfast, devotion, speakers, and crafts. Child care is provided. Dues are $25 in the fall and $25 in the spring.
