Cameron Knights of Columbus Council #12601 will have a garage sale at The KC building next to Simon-George Hall. Sale starts at 8 and runs until 2. A variety of items and clothing will be sold at low prices. August 5 & 6 Greater Vision will be appearing at the Cultural Activities Center in Temple 3011 North 3rd street (I-35 & Exit 303) 7:30 PM each evening. A Spanish Mass starts the day at 8, followed by a Polka Mass at 10:30 with the Jodie Mikula Orchestra of Ennis. A Bar-B-Q beef and sausage meal will be served starting at 10:30 and continue until sold out. Hamburgers and homemade tamales will also be sold. Musical entertainment in the afternoon with the Jodie Mikula Orchestra and Zismo Musical. Games and a variety of booths will open at 12 noon. A country auction starts at 4 followed by a huge raffle. The first annual horseshoe pitching tournament will be held with a team entry fee of $20. Everyone welcomed. ...... ....... MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month Sept. - May at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale at 9:30am. MOPS is open to any mother with children aged birth - kindergarten. Meetings include breakfast, devotion, speakers, and crafts. Child care is provided. Dues are $25 in the fall and $25 in the spring.
