First Baptist Church Cameron is looking for a very dependable and loving person to keep children from birth to 5th grade. The work week will be about 5 hours a week including mostly Sunday mornings, evenings, and Wed. nights. Please apply at FBC M-F 9:00am-4:00pm. The salary will be $8.00 an hour.

St. Monica's Catholic Church will have its annual parish garage sale this Saturday starting at 8am at Simon George Hall. There will be furniture, exercise equipment, electronics, books, jewelry, and much more at very garage sale prices. Enjoy breakfast tacos or menudo and for lunch, hotdogs, chili-cheese dogs,frito pies, nachos, pickles, etc.

Old Providence-Branchville Cemetery Committee will have it's Fall Meeting on Sat., Nov. 7th at 11AM. All members are invited and encouraged to attend. The event will be at the Branchville Community Hall.

November 7
The Christian Sisters of Seaton Brethren Church are hosting a bake sale and quilt show on Saturday, November 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church, located at 12561 State Highway 53, Temple (Seaton community).
Some of the items featured in the sale will be kolaches, cakes, pies, cookies and bread, as well as craft items and home made canned goods. Sandwiches and home made soup will be available to purchase for lunch. Quilts will be on display in the sanctuary.
A hand-made quilt, a $75 gift card from Wal-Mart, and a $50 gift card from Wal-Mart will be given away for a donation of $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00. The proceeds from the fund-raiser benefit the many projects the Sisters’ support. The sale is open to the public with free admission.

November 7
“The Grand Ole Gospel Sing,” composed of over 40 singers and musicians will present a night of toe-tapping, foot-stomping, hand-clapping and voice-raising gospel music at First Baptist Church in Cameron on Saturday night, November 7th, at 6:00 p.m.
The public is invited to attend “The Grand Ole Gospel Sing.” There is no admission charge for the two-hour concert and there will be NO love offering taken. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy a great evening of singing. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the Praise Band, Gone Fishin’, presenting a 20 minute mini- concert before the main program begins. Come early and get a good seat.

There will be a Quilt and Craft Show in Westphalia at the Parish Hall on November 15th from 9AM-4PM. There will be a large display of quilts and craft vendors. A raffle will be held and a chicken-spaghetti supper will be served. There will also be sausage wraps and sauerkraut. Admission is $2. Plates will also be for sale to go. SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger is having a Parish Kolache Bake Sale on Saturday, November 21. Kolaches need to be pre-ordered, so call 859-1001 to do so. Kolaches can be picked up from 2:30-4PM at the church rec center. Price is $9/Dozen.

The Kingsmen are coming to Somerville, TX on Thursday, November 29th at 7PM in the American Legion Hall. The event is sponsored by the Somerville Ladies Auxiliary of the Volunteer Fire Dept. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month Sept. - May at the First Baptist Church in Rockdale at 9:30am. MOPS is open to any mother with children aged birth - kindergarten. Meetings include breakfast, devotion, speakers, and crafts. Child care is provided. Dues are $25 in the fall and $25 in the spring.
