HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE OVERNIGHT

(CAMERON)  A house was destroyed by fire overnight here in Cameron. The Thad Smith residence at 804 West Main was fully involved when firemen arrived at the scene around 12:30 a.m. today.  In addition to the Cameron Fire Department, American Medical Response and 4 Cameron Police units were at the scene.  Fireman Henry Horelica said it appeared the fire started from an extension cord and generator in the front part of the house.  Smith was arrested at the scene on a Williamson County warrant for Interference with an Emergency Call in an unrelated case.  He was held overnight in the Cameron City Jail.
