Sheriff's Office Seeking Information on Missing Oklahoma Man (CAMERON) The Milam County Sheriff's Office is seeking information on the whereabouts of an Oklahoma man last seen at the FM 487 bridge of the San Gabriel River about one week ago. Sheriff Charlie West said that Carl Raymond Price Jr., 38 has not been seen in the past several days, although his vehicle has been found under the FM 487 bridge. Price's 1994 red 2-door Jeep Cherokee was found under the bridge late Wednesday evening after a report was received that the wheels had been removed from the vehicle and the rear window was broken out. Deputies Justin Mitchan and James Woodward responded to the location and were unable to locate Price. A search of is vehicle found clothing and other personal effects indicating that he may have been traveling or living out of the vehicle. It is believed that Price has some ties to the Rockdale area and may have been a truck driver in the recent past. Family members of Price report that it has been at least a month since anyone has heard from him. Price's last known contact was with law enforcement at least a week ago when Game Warden Mike Mitchell spoke with him under the same bridge. Everything seemed okay at the time according to Mitchell. A search of the area last night by Deputies, and Pct. 3 Constable Herbie Vaughn netted no results. Sometime during the past couple of days, it appears that unknown person's stole the wheels from the vehicle and left it sitting propped up on rocks. The back window was also smashed. The vehicle has an Oklahoma license plate 346-CDL on the rear bumper and a tag that reads "4-Play" on the front bumper. It also has dark tinted windows. Price is described as being heavy, weighing approximately 375 pounds, brown hair, blue eyes, 5'-09" and possibly having a mustache or beard. He frequently wears a baseball cap and glasses. Sheriff West asked that persons who may know Price, his whereabouts or any known persons that he associates with in the Rockdale or Milam County area to contact the Sheriff's Office at 254-697-7033. Sheriff's Investigator Greg Kouba also asks that persons call the Milam County Crime Stoppers if you have any information on who is responsible for the theft of the tires from the vehicle. Foul play is not indicated in this incident, but Price has been entered as a missing person in the NCIC/TCIC to aid in finding him. Evidence found at the scene indicates that Price may be depressed. |
