CAMERON FIREMEN CELEBRATE 115 YEARS |

(CAMERON) The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department celebrated its 115th birthday Sunday at the Cameron Fire Station with an open house and demonstrations. The Cameron Volunteer Fire Department was founded May 13th, 1890. During the celebration Sunday, Fire Department volunteers demonstrated their Jaws-of-Life which is a device used to free victims from vehicles after an accident. An airbag demonstration (pictured left) was also held during the Sunday activities. Hot dogs, chips, tea and sweets were provided to visitors throughout the afternoon.
