CAMERON RECEIVES TRAVELING ATTENDANCE AWARD (CAMERON) The city of Cameron received the Traveling Attendance Award during the quarterly Texas Municipal League meeting held Thursday in Jarrell. The meeting was held at the new Ground Zero Memorial Park, the site of the Jarrell tornado in 1995. Attending the meeting from Cameron were Mayor Bill Meachum, new city manager Fred Stephens, Council members Connie Anderle, Dan Green, and Rose Mondrik, City Secretary Amy Kopriva, and City Employee Kay Moraw. Guests from Cameron included Ken Harriss and Janet Harris. Accepting the award for the city of Cameron was Mayor Bill Meachum (Pictured above (Left) with Eric Carlson (Middle) and City Manager Fred Stephens (Right). The Award was the first time Cameron has won the Traveling Attendance award. The quarterly meeting will be hosted by Cameron in January. During the meeting, Rose Mondrik was appointed First Vice President of Texas Municipal League by President Eric Carlson, Mayor of Elgin. Mondrik fills the vacancy of an unexpired term. |
